While your current situation, problem, or issue is not ignored, we will focus on how you want this situation, problem, or issue to be different or better. During our sessions, I will evoke your thoughts, ideas, and attitudes toward change and help you clearly articulate what you value. I’ll ask questions designed to help activate your imagination about possibilities and options that could drive you toward reaching your desired future. Great question! Well, it starts with a question: What are your best hopes from our conversation together? We start with where you want to be and your desired future. What do you want your life to look like when the change has taken place? If you can’t put your finger on that yet, that’s OK. If you come in with notes, charts, or bullet points, that’s OK too! The starting point of every visit we have together is to engage in open conversation about where you want to be and how you can start to take action, even just the tiniest of actions, to get there.
